dragons den

A life lesson I learned the hard way is to not run up and pet a dog without them smelling you first. I was 7 and I was at the park with my mom when I saw a dog and ran over to it. Unknowingly I pet the dogs head without sticking my hand out for it to smell me and it freaked out and bit my hand. After that I always let the dog smell me and asked its owner if it was friendly or not.

    Did it break the skin? I learned to not break up a dog fight by hand when my dog bit my knee when I was little. Ouch!

    I never new that you had to let a dog smell you first, but yeah that sucks.
